Google has launched its fastest AI model to date, Gemini 3 Flash. It is designed with improved reasoning and multimodal capabilities, significantly reducing latency and cost. Latency is the time it takes for a system to receive a request and provide a response. The new model is optimized for use in real-time applications such as coding tasks, agent-based workflows, and complex analysis. Gemini 3 Flash features multimodal input capabilities, enabling it to deliver instant results based on text, images, audio, and video.
Speed remains the biggest highlight of this model. It is currently being rolled out as the default engine in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search.
Identifying AI-Generated Fake Videos Will Be Easier
AI-generated fake videos are spreading rapidly, making it difficult to distinguish between real and fake content. To address this problem, Google has added a new feature to Gemini. This feature allows users to determine whether a video was created or edited using Google's AI tools.
Users simply need to upload the video to the app and ask if the video was created with Google AI. Gemini then checks for a digital marker called Synth ID present in the video. This feature works on videos up to 100 MB and 90 seconds in length. Google says this feature is available in all countries and languages. Gemini Flash 3 becomes the default model
Google is setting Gemini Flash 3 as the default model in the Gemini app. However, users will be able to select the Pro model from the model picker for questions related to math and coding. Google says this new model can understand multimodal content and provide accurate answers based on it.
For example, you can upload a short video of yourself playing pickleball and ask for tips to improve your game. You can also create a sketch and ask the model what you are drawing. Additionally, you can upload an audio recording and have the model analyze it or create a quiz based on it.
Create app prototypes with just prompts
According to the company, this model now understands the user's intent better than before and can provide more effective responses with visual elements such as images and tables. Furthermore, with the help of the new model, you can even create app prototypes in the Gemini app simply by using prompts.
