England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to bowl first against India in the semi-final. Batting first, Team India posted 253 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson top-scored with 89 runs. Will Jacks and Adil Rashid took two wickets each for England.
Chasing a massive target of 254, England batted brilliantly and almost achieved such a massive target in a big match. Jacob Bethell played a brilliant innings of 105 runs off 48 balls.
