Tehran: Iran has responded to US President Donald Trump's threat of a massive attack if oil supplies are disrupted. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern response to Trump, stating that not even a liter of oil will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, let alone oil shipments. Experts have considered the IRGC's announcement to close the Strait of Hormuz a wake-up call for the world, which will lead to rising fuel prices in the coming days.
Donald Trump threatened Iran with devastation if it blocks the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. Just hours later, the IRGC responded in five words: "Not even a liter of oil." Expert Shanaka Anslem Perera said that this development should create fear in every energy market in the world. It is a direct indication of a growing global energy crisis.
Tension with Iran and the US
The IRGC has stated that if US and Israeli attacks on Iran continue, it will not allow even a liter of oil to be exported from the Strait of Hormuz. Oil supplies will be completely cut off not only through the Strait of Hormuz but throughout the region. This means that oil from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Iraq will not be sent to the world. This will sharply increase oil prices worldwide.
The growing tensions between the US and Iran clearly indicate that the IRGC may impose a complete shutdown in the coming days. Trump is constantly calling for increased attacks on Iran. If Iran halts energy exports from the region in retaliation for attacks by Donald Trump and Israel, it is clear that there will be chaos in the world regarding energy.
What Donald Trump Said
US President Donald Trump has stated that if Iran blocks oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, it will face 20 times more severe action. Trump stated that if Iran blocks oil, we will target it in such a way that it will be impossible for Iran to recover as a nation.
The Iran war has led to a rise in fuel prices in the US and around the world. Iran has blocked ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital sea route, in response to the US and Israeli attacks. The blockage is causing crude oil prices to rise, exacerbating the global crisis.
