Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for standing with Israel amid tensions in the Middle East. He said that India stands with Iran in its difficult times. He made this statement in an interview with NDTV. Prime Minister Modi recently visited Israel, during which several important deals were signed between India and Israel, including in the trade and defense sectors.
Expressed gratitude to PM Modi for his support to Israel
NDTV reported that Netanyahu, amid tight security, visited the sites devastated by the Iranian attack in Beit Shemesh, Israel. He also visited a synagogue, a Jewish place of worship where nine Israelis were killed in the Iranian attack. During the conversation, Netanyahu mentioned his recent telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Netanyahu said that he had a long conversation with PM Modi yesterday and thanked him for standing with Israel, supporting the truth, and for the deep friendship of the people of India.

He further said that PM Modi is greatly admired and loved in Israel. Netanyahu also said, "I won't go into details of the conversation, but I have spoken to him, and I have also spoken to many other leaders from the region and beyond."
What PM Modi said after his conversation with Netanyahu
In a post on X, Modi said, "Spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone to discuss the current regional situation. Conveyed India's concerns over recent developments and stressed the need to give top priority to the safety of civilians. India reiterates the need for an early cessation of hostilities." Prime Minister Modi also spoke with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday night and strongly condemned the attacks on the Gulf country, saying India stands in solidarity with the UAE in this difficult time.
