Sam Altman tells IIT Delhi students to question advice on AI future

The CEO of OpenAI shared a very important message with IIT Delhi students. When asked what the biggest mistake young people make while preparing for artificial intelligence (AI), Sam Altman offered a completely different perspective. He said, "I think listening to the elders is the biggest mistake, and that's what young people do." Sam said, "You shouldn't even trust me to predict what the future world will be like, if you can even guess for yourself."

He said that young people always understand this better. The world you inherit will be very different. You have to make your own predictions and trust it. He added that traditional career advice may not work as well.

Sam Altman: AI will automate the entire economy

Sam Altman spoke at IIT Delhi on several occasions. He participated in a conversation with venture capitalist Vinod Khosla. Sam warned that AI will not only automate scientific progress, it will automate the entire economy.

What will India be like in 2047? He also explained this.

When asked, "What will India look like when it completes 100 years of independence in 2047?" Sam said that the next generation will be superintelligent. He said that the face of education is going to change completely. The same will happen in the field of healthcare. He said that the very way of working will change. He said that by the time first-year students graduate, they will not be able to find a better technical field than AI. Meaning that the future will revolve entirely around AI.

    'Build something that people want'

In a conversation with IIT students, Sam said that he wished such a class had been offered in his college. He said that in the last 20 years, probably every investor has had the same motto: build something that people want. Altman told the students that perhaps they will better understand what people want. He advised them that it is very important to stay ahead of the curve in tools. He urged them to keep watching and anticipating what will happen in the next few months.
