New Delhi: Following India's historic T20 World Cup 2026 victory, cricket fans are eagerly awaiting Team India's grand Victory Parade. Although the BCCI has not yet officially announced the schedule, sources indicate a grand roadshow is being planned for the champion players.
World Champions May Meet PM Modi in Delhi
It is believed that Team India players may arrive in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host and honor the World Champions there. During their meeting with the Prime Minister, the players will share their experiences and pose for photos with the trophy. After the official meeting in Delhi, the real celebrations are likely to shift to the streets of Mumbai.
A road show may be held again on Marine Drive in Mumbai.
This parade in Mumbai could bring back memories of 2007 and 2024. The players' roadshow could be held in open-buses from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium. Considering the massive crowds that gathered at Marine Drive last year, the Mumbai Police and administration are developing a special security plan for crowd management so that fans can celebrate safely.
A grand felicitation ceremony will be held at Wankhede Stadium.
The parade is expected to conclude at Wankhede Stadium, where a grand ceremony is expected. The BCCI will present the prize money checks to the entire team, and fans will be able to see their favorite stars up close. The likely date for the Victory Parade is around March 11th or 12th, as players will be able to participate in this national celebration after spending time with their families.
Sanju Samson receives a historic welcome in Kerala
Meanwhile, tournament hero Sanju Samson has already received a historic welcome in his home state of Kerala. The Kerala government has planned a special ceremony in his honor. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and captain Suryakumar Yadav also visited the famous Hanuman Tekri temple in Ahmedabad to seek blessings for victory. Fans from various parts of the country will begin preparing to arrive in Mumbai as soon as the BCCI confirms the official route and timing of the parade.
