New Delhi: After Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, now a BJP leader has also raised questions on the Supreme Court regarding one of its recent decisions. The BJP leader has said that if the Supreme Court makes the law, then the Parliament should be closed. BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey, has raised these questions in a post on the social media platform X. Nishikant Dubey's remarks have come at a time when Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has also expressed displeasure over a decision of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had set a deadline for the President to take a decision on the bills.
'..then the Parliament House should be closed'
Now BJP MP Dubey has targeted the Supreme Court and written, "If the Supreme Court will make the law, then the Parliament House should be closed." This is a very big comment on the country's highest court from the BJP. Earlier, Dhankhar had said in a program of Rajya Sabha interns, 'We cannot have a situation where you give instructions to the President of India and on what basis?'
The Vice President has surrounded the Supreme Court
He further said, 'In a recent decision, the President has been instructed. Where are we going? What is happening in the country? We have to be very sensitive. It is not a question of someone filing a review or not. We did not bargain democracy for this day. The President is being asked to take a decision in a timely manner, and if not, it becomes a law.' This means that if the President does not take a decision on a bill within the stipulated time, it will automatically become a law.
'Will become a super parliament'
Dhankar also said, 'So we have judges who will make laws, who will do executive work, who will act as a super parliament, and there will be absolutely no accountability, because the law of the country does not apply to them.' He says that if the judges start making laws, they will also do the work of the executive. They will become above the Parliament and no one will have control over them. Because, the law of the country does not apply to them.
However, opposition parties have appreciated the court's comment on the Waqf Act and the direction given to the President. They believe that the court has said the right thing. Overall, this matter is about rights between the Supreme Court and the government.
