Trump hints Cuba could be next target after Iran conflict

Washington: The war between the US and Iran doesn't seem to be reaching a conclusion anytime soon, but President Donald Trump has unveiled a plan to target a new country. Trump has stated that his focus is on ending the Iran war, with his administration then focusing on Cuba. Referring to the war with Iran at a White House reception, Trump said, "We want to end that first, but it's only a matter of time before you see a lot of incredible people going back to Cuba."

Trump has already imposed a blockade on Cuba.

Addressing US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump said, "You're doing a great job in a place called Cuba." Trump's statement against Cuba comes at a time when the US is embroiled in a fierce war with Iran. However, Cuba has already been facing a US energy blockade even before this war. This began after the US operation in Venezuela, in which President Nicolas Maduro was taken hostage. Venezuela has been Cuba's main oil supplier.

Economic Crisis in Cuba

No oil imports have been imported into Cuba since January 9th, forcing airlines to reduce flights to the island. The country's economic crisis has deepened.

Following the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, the possibility of an attack in Cuba has also become a threat. Many fear that Trump's next target could be Cuba.

President Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio have both openly expressed their intention to replace the communist regime in Havana.

Trump's Claim: Cuba Seeks a Deal

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Cuba wants to negotiate with the US. He said, "Cuba wants a deal very badly." He also stated that Cuban Americans will eventually return to their homeland. "We want you there, and we don't want to lose you," he said. It's worth noting that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also the child of Cuban immigrants.
