America’s $5 Million ‘Gold Card’ Visa Sells Out—1000 Sold in Just One Day!

Washington: US Commerce Minister Howard Lutnick has made a big claim regarding the sale of Gold Card Visa, which offers permanent residence in America for 5 million (50 lakh) dollars. Lutnick said that he sold 1000 gold cards in a day. US President Donald Trump had recently announced the Gold Card Visa. According to the Indian currency, the price of this visa is about 42 crore 80 lakh rupees today.

According to Trump, the goal of the Gold Card Visa initiative is to raise 5 trillion dollars by selling 1 million visas to wealthy investors. The US President believes that this program will attract wealthy individuals who will boost the economy through spending, investment and taxation.

What did US Commerce Minister Howard Lutnick say about the Gold Card Lutnick?

Lutnick said in the All-In podcast, "There are 37 million people in the world who are able to buy the card... The president thinks we can sell a million cards." Lutnick said, "Yesterday I sold a thousand cards." According to the report, the program's funds are aimed at reducing the US national debt, which is currently $36.2 trillion.

Lutnick said Trump came up with the idea of the gold card during a meeting with investor John Paulson. Lutnick was then brought in to figure out how to work on it. Lutnick said Elon Musk is developing the software.

Lutnick explains why someone should buy a gold card

Why should someone buy a gold card? When asked, Lutnick said that if he were not an American, he would have bought six gold cards, one for himself, one for his wife and one for other family members, so that if a situation like war or any other crisis arises, he can come to America and start afresh, start a new business.

Lutnick elaborated that the gold card will replace the traditional green card and its holders will get the facility of permanent residence in the US. Although card holders can try to obtain citizenship, he said that most people would not want to do so to avoid US global taxation. Each card is worth $ 5 million and will give the right to stay in the US indefinitely.

Gold card will replace EB-5 investor visa

Howard Lutnick had said recently that the gold card worth $ 5 million will replace the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program. According to reports, more than 4,500 EB-5 visas were issued in 2024. Trump said there would be no limit on the number of Gold Cards that would be issued.
