BLA claims attack on Pakistani army in Balochistan, 12 soldiers killed

Islamabad: In Pakistan's Balochistan province, fighters from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) have killed 12 Pakistani soldiers. Six Pakistani soldiers were also injured in the encounter. A BLA spokesperson said that their fighters targeted Pakistani soldiers in clashes that lasted for hours in the Panjgur district. BLA spokesperson Giyand Baloch said that the group targeted a Pakistani army death squad as they were attempting to advance in large numbers in the Sorap area. Giyand Baloch said the clash began around 1 PM on Saturday and continued until approximately 8 PM.

The BLA spokesperson claimed that additional Pakistani army troops attempted to enter the area using armored vehicles and other transport, but another unit of the group repelled them. He further stated that a military vehicle was destroyed and members of the alleged death squad also suffered casualties.

More Attacks on Pakistani Army to Come

Giyand Baloch described the attack as part of their ongoing armed struggle for the independence of the Baloch nation and said that the group will continue to target the Pakistani army. He said that the BLA will carry out even more deadly attacks and the Pakistani army will face failure and defeat on every front.

    BLF Also Carries Out Attack

Another insurgent group in Balochistan, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), has also claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani army camp. BLF spokesperson Major Gwahrram Baloch said that fighters fired grenade launchers at a Pakistani military camp in the Balichah area of Tump on Saturday. The attack was precise. He stated that the attack occurred while a meeting was taking place inside the camp, chaired by a military officer. Gwahrram threatened that anyone who assisted the Pakistani army would be held responsible for any harm to their life and property.
