From Humanitarian Aid to Two-State Solution: Why Palestine Has Always Trusted India

Israel may have come under fire from countries like Egypt and Qatar at the international level for stopping food and supplies in Gaza. However, Israel has clearly told Hamas that if the new proposal to extend the ceasefire period is not accepted, then it will have to face consequences.

The first phase of the ceasefire between Palestine and Israel ended on Saturday itself. There is an atmosphere of uncertainty among the people that the war may start again.

Administration Keeping an Eye on the Situation - Palestinian Sources

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources say that the administration is keeping an eye on the situation. Palestinian officials are saying that the kind of diplomacy that President Trump is doing has never been seen before.

Earlier, the proposal he had put forward regarding Gaza was not according to international laws. Apart from this, many such things are being seen which were never seen before.

An Atmosphere of Uncertainty Has Again Prevailed

    The official further said that,

"It seems that whatever is visible at the moment is happening... no one has control over it."

Amidst the uncertainty of the ceasefire, the relief was that since the ceasefire began on January 19, 600 trucks full of aid and supplies were coming to Gaza every day.

Now, after the blockade again, an atmosphere of uncertainty has once again prevailed.

    Palestine Has Always Needed India

However, Palestine has always looked towards India with hope. Palestinian sources said that whether it is supporting the two-state solution or providing humanitarian help, Palestine has always needed India.

The roots of the years-old historical relations between the two countries are deep. In such a situation, India will always play an important role in the reconstruction of Gaza.

What Did Israel Say in the Whole Matter?

In fact, Israel has said that PM Netanyahu took the decision of blockade after Hamas refused to accept the proposal sent by Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff.

Earlier, the Israeli PM had said that he supports the proposal to extend the first phase of the ceasefire till Ramadan and Passover or April 20. This proposal has come from Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff.

According to the Israeli side, under this proposal, Hamas will first release half the hostages and will release the rest when an agreement is reached on a permanent ceasefire.

The Israeli PM has also said that Israel is working in complete coordination with the administration of US President Donald Trump.
