India-Pakistan Tensions: Iran Offers Mediation, Saudi Arabia Also Steps In

Tehran: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, war-like situations are developing between India and Pakistan. In view of the tension arising from the aggressive rhetoric from both sides and the possibility of war, two important countries of the world have come forward to fix things. These countries are two big powers of the Muslim world - Iran and Saudi Arabia. Iran has said that it is ready to mediate between India and Pakistan. At the same time, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia has spoken to the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and India. Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has confirmed the talks.

Iran's Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi has tweeted on Friday evening. In this tweet, the Iranian Foreign Minister has said that both India and Pakistan are neighbors of Iran. Iran has centuries-old cultural relations with both countries. Being neighbors, Iran considers both countries as its priority. India and Pakistan are currently going through a difficult time. Iran is ready to increase understanding between the two countries in this difficult time.

Syed Abbas Araghchi has shared the poem of Persian poet Saadi with his tweet. The meaning of this poem is that all the people of the world are the same. If one person is in pain somewhere, then the rest of the people will also be restless. The meaning of this poem is that there should be peace everywhere in the world and all people should live in peace while loving each other.

Pakistan's Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has informed about the conversation with the Saudi Foreign Minister. Ishaq Dar tweeted that he talked to the Saudi Foreign Minister over the phone. The Pakistani Foreign Minister said that after India's unilateral decisions, Prince Faisal was informed about the decisions taken in Pakistan's National Security Committee. Both agreed to continue consultations. S Jaishankar said in his tweet that he spoke with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan. The Pahalgam terrorist attack and its cross-border relations were discussed with him.

If Saudi Arabia and Iran intervene amid the tension between Pakistan and India, then it is expected to reduce the tension. Saudi Arabia and Iran are seen as the strongest countries in the Muslim world. Saudi is considered the leader of the Sunni world. Iran is known as the most powerful Shia country in the world.
