Tehran: Iran has given a big blow to Pakistan. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached Tehran yesterday during his four-nation tour. But in the statement issued by Iran regarding Shahbaz Sharif's arrival, India has not been mentioned anywhere, which is a big blow for Pakistan. When Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Iran's President Dr. Masood Pezeshkian were holding a joint press conference in Tehran, Shahbaz Sharif said that he is ready to talk with India on water, trade and the fight against terrorism. The Pakistani Prime Minister said that "we are ready to discuss the issue of water for peace, to increase trade and also in the fight against terrorism."
During a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Tehran, Iran's capital, Iranian President Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of Pakistan as an important strategic neighbor for Iran, he mentioned the long history of cultural and civilizational coexistence of the two countries. But the most important thing was that Iran did not mention India in the press conference. This shows how strong the relations between Iran and India are. Earlier, Iran had strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and Iran's Foreign Minister had visited Pakistan and India one after the other amid the war situation.
India's name not mentioned in Iran's statement
The press release issued by Iran said that "According to President Pezeshkian, Iran and Pakistan share similar positions on various regional, international and Islamic issues. He stressed the importance of eliminating insecurity and terrorist presence. He stressed that both Tehran and Islamabad are committed to enhancing security and dealing with elements that threaten stability in the border areas. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining lasting security in the region. He stressed that Iran advocates stability, welfare and peace of the Pakistani people. The Iranian President said that Tehran wants cordial relations with all neighbouring states and the West Asian and South Asian regions need peace and security more than ever."
Palestine has been mentioned in the press release, but there was no mention of Kashmir and India. This is also important because many times Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei keeps referring to Muslims in India. At the same time, Shahbaz Sharif has talked about talking with India on the issue of trade and water. But India's stand is very clear. India has agreed to hold talks with Pakistan on only two issues. First- Islamabad should agree to return Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and second- Pakistan should hand over the terrorists active in Pakistan to India. On Kashmir too, India has made its position clear that India will now hold any kind of talks with Pakistan only on PoK.
