Iran Retaliates: Missile Barrage Hits Tel Aviv After Strike on Nuclear Sites

Jerusalem: Iran has started retaliation in response to the US attack. Iran has launched a major attack on Israel just hours after nuclear sites were targeted in the US air strike. Iranian armed forces have rained missiles on Israel, after which explosions have been heard in other major Israeli cities including Tel Aviv. Iran has said that it has attacked Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport and other Israeli cities by targeting them. Israeli rescue services said that at least 16 Israelis have been injured in the shower of Iranian missiles.

Due to the Iranian missile attack, sirens started ringing and sounds of explosions were heard in parts of central and northern Israel including Tel Aviv, Haifa, Nes Ziona, Rishon Lezion. Iran's Fars news agency has issued a statement of the Iranian armed forces, which said that the targets of the missile attack included an airport, a 'biological research center', logistics bases and various layers of command and control centers.

    Iran fired 30 missiles

According to news agency AFP, 30 missiles have been fired on Israel from Iran. The attack was shown on Iran's state TV. Giving information about the missile attack against Israel on Iran's state TV, the anchor said, 'The live pictures you are seeing are of the new shower of Iranian missiles fired on the occupied areas.' Iran calls Israel an occupied area.

    America's attack on Iran

US President Donald Trump had informed about the attack on Iran's nuclear sites on Sunday morning (Saturday evening US time). Trump said that the US had announced to target Iran's 3 nuclear sites Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. The US used bunker buster bombs, known as GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), to target the Iranian nuclear plants. These bombs are dropped from the B-2 stealth bomber. Apart from this, US submarines also launched 30 Tomahawk missiles.
