Israel May Launch Week-Long Attack on Iran; Netanyahu Waiting for Right Time

Jerusalem: Israel has intensified preparations to attack Iran. Axios has quoted two Israeli sources as saying that if the ongoing talks between the US and Tehran on Iran's nuclear program fail, Israel can attack Iran immediately. Israeli intelligence feels that the talks may fail soon, whereas earlier they thought that an agreement was going to be reached. He told that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is waiting for the opportunity.

Netanyahu waiting for the talks to fail

Using Prime Minister Netanyahu's nickname, a source told Axios, 'Bibi is waiting for the nuclear talks to fail. For now, Trump will be disappointed with the talks and will be ready to let them move forward.' One of the sources said that the Israeli army believes that if the talks are not successful, then Israel will have to move fast. However, he did not say what is the reason behind the IDF thinking so.

Planning for a week-long attack

Axios also reported that both Israeli sources have confirmed the CNN report, which said that Israel is preparing for possible attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. The sources also said that any attack will require a week-long campaign and it will not be a one-time attack.

Israel prepared for attack

A source said that a lot of practice has been done in this regard and the US military sees everything and understands that Israel is preparing. Earlier, CNN had reported in its report that the US has received new intelligence, which shows that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian nuclear installations. This information has come at a time when the Trump administration is working on a diplomatic agreement with Tehran.
