Mahakumbh Mela Stampede News: A huge crowd of devotees has gathered to take Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya at the Mahakumbh fair. About 8-10 crore people are present in Sangam city. The bathing of common people is going on. After the crowd subsides, the Amrit Snan of the Akharas will start. There was a stampede at the Mahakumbh fair early Wednesday morning. The devotees were so desperate to take a bath at Sangam Nose that they started jumping over the barricades. This caused chaos. Many people were injured in this stampede. Everyone is being treated in the hospital. There is also a possibility of some people dying. At present, everyone from CM Yogi to PM Modi is keeping an eye on the Maha Kumbh Mela. Faith seems to be overpowering the stampede. So let's know in 10 points what happened and when in the Maha Kumbh Mela today.

    1. First of all, let's know what happened and when in Maha Kumbh. People from all over the country and the world have reached Kumbh on Mauni Amavasya. Crowds of devotees started gathering on the Sangam coast only after midnight. Everyone was desperate to take a bath at the Sangam Nose coast. Barricading was put up there. But the crowd was so much that the situation worsened at one o'clock at night. By one-thirty the barricades broke. People started jumping over the barricades. In this, some devotees went out of control. There was chaos and it took the form of a stampede.

    2. After the stampede, there was screaming all around. But the police and administration showed promptness. A green corridor was made to take the injured to the hospital. After this, everyone was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Dozens of people are injured right now and are being treated in the hospital. There is also a possibility of some people dying. However, no information has been given by the government on this till now. There is still a lot of pressure regarding bathing in Sangam.

    3. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting in Lucknow after the stampede incident in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Senior officers including the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretary of the Home Department, and Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) were present in this meeting. A meeting was going on since dawn regarding Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya.

    4. CM Yogi gave an update on the Mahakumbh stampede and said that this stampede happened while trying to jump over the barricades and some devotees were seriously injured. CM Yogi said, 'There is a huge crowd of devotees in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Some devotees have been seriously injured while jumping over the barricades that were put up for Amrit Snan on the Akhara Marg between 1 and 2 in the night. They were immediately rushed to the hospital and arrangements were made for treatment. Some of those devotees are seriously injured.'

    5. There is a stir from Lucknow to Delhi on the Mahakumbh stampede. PM Modi himself has called Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath four times since morning to take stock of the situation. Not only this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister JP Nadda also took stock of the situation of the Mahakumbh. CM Yogi himself gave this information. PM Modi, Amit Shah JP Nadda, and the state Governor Anandiben Patel are also in constant touch and all of them are keeping an eye on the situation.

    6. The program of Amrit Snan will continue on Mauni Amavasya. CM Yogi has made it clear that firs,t the common people will taka e bath, and after that, there will be Amrit Shahi Snan of Akharas. The administration has talked to different Akharas about this. The Akhada Parishad itself has said that when the crowd reduces, then we will take a bath. If CM Yogi is to be believed, the situation in Prayagraj is under control, but there is still a lot of crowd. It is being told that there are still about 8 to 9 crore people in Prayagraj.

    7. By 10 am today, about 4 crore devotees have taken a bath. This process is still going on. However, there is constant pressure on Sangam Nose, Akhada Marg, and Nag Vasuki Marg. The administration is ready for the convenience of the devotees. The Yogi government has asked not to pay attention to anyrumorss. Also, bathers have been appealed that wherever you are, temporary ghats have been built within a radius of about 15 to 20 kilometers, and you can take a bath anywhere in them. It is not necessary to come towards Sangam Nose only.

    8. Now to control the crowd of devotees on the Sangam coast, the CRPF and Rapid Action Force team along with the police have taken charge. These teams have left for the Akhara route. Not only this, Mahakumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna has also inspected the route coming from the Akhara. Only after this, it will be decided at what time the Amrit Snan of the Akharas will take place today.

    9. What is the situation on the Sangam coast right now? At present, the administration has brought the atmosphere under control. There are a lot of crowds, but despite this, the bath is still going on. Right now common people are taking baths. After this, the saints will take Amrit Snan. The situation is now normal in Sangamnagari. The security arrangements of the police are tight. A crowdd diversion plan has been implemented to control the crowd. CM Yogi himself is keeping an eye on every moment.

    10. According to the tradition of Kumbh Mela, Sanyasi, Bairagi and Udasi Akharas reach the Sangam banks in a grand procession and take Amrit Snan in a fixed order in which Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani takes Amrit Snan first in the order. Triveni Sangam - the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati - is considered the most sacred by Hindus. It is believed that taking a dip in it during Maha Kumbh and especially on special bathing dates like Mauni Amavasya washes away people's sins and gives them salvation.
