Philadelphia: Two people died and nine others, including three teenagers, were injured in a firing in a park in Philadelphia, America. Police gave this information on Tuesday. Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel told about the incident that a man and a woman died in the firing that took place in Fairmount Park on Monday night.
Firing happened in the presence of police
Bethel said that the condition of the people injured in the firing on the occasion of 'Memorial Day' is stable. He told that the firing took place despite the presence of officers in the park. Bethel said, "We try to control the crowd, but it becomes challenging when a person decides that he will fire on the crowd."
Multiple gunshots
According to WPVI-TV, Bethel said no one was taken into custody. The commissioner said police have not yet recovered any weapons. Bethel said investigators do not yet know if more than one gun was used in the shooting, but he said videos posted on social media showed rapid-fire gunfire.
