Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed strong displeasure against the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. During a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Putin said that the absolutely unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis and no justification. He also said that Russia is taking steps to support the Iranian people. Meanwhile, Araghchi thanked Putin for condemning the US attacks on Iran and said that Russia stands on the "right side of history". He said that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian have asked him to convey their best wishes to Putin.
Russia supported Iran
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to a question at a press conference on Monday, "Everything depends on what Iran needs. We have offered our efforts to mediate. That's for sure." Peskov said that Russia has openly declared its stand on the Iran-Israel war and called it an important form of support for Tehran. He said, "We have stated our stand. This is also a very important expression, a form of support for the Iranian side."
Putin-Trump also talked about Iran
He also said that the topic of Iran has come up repeatedly in the recent talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. Peskov told reporters, "The presidents discussed the topic of Iran several times during their recent talks." Let us tell you that after the US attacks, the President of Iran has spoken to many top politicians of the world including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought support for Iran.
