North Korean Soldiers Withdraw from Russia's Kursk Front After Heavy Losses—Ukraine Gains Ground!

Kyiv: North Korean soldiers who came to help Russia against Ukraine have suddenly disappeared. They have not been seen on the front in the last several weeks. Ukrainian military officer Colonel Oleksandr Kindratenko said that he was forced to retreat amid possibly heavy losses. Earlier there were reports that North Korean soldiers have suffered a large number of casualties. North Korean soldiers have not been seen for the last three weeks. According to Ukrainian presidential adviser Mikhailo Podolyak, North Korean soldiers have suffered heavy losses, after which they were removed from the frontline.

According to Ukrainian officials and Western intelligence reports, about 12,000 North Korean soldiers had arrived in Russia, of which about 4000 were killed or injured. They were deployed after Ukrainian troops infiltrated the Kursk region of Russia. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a speech last week in Davos, Switzerland that 60,000 Russian and 12,000 North Korean soldiers were deployed in the Kursk region. Zelensky said his troops are still deployed in Russia.

Zelensky has claimed that one-third of those North Korean soldiers were killed. Earlier there were reports that North Korean soldiers have adopted brutal tactics. To avoid being caught, they blow themselves up with grenades. This is a symbol of their loyalty to North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on the battlefield. A Ukrainian commander praised the North Korean soldiers, saying that they are highly trained and courageous, but they may not have faced drones in battle before. He is fully prepared for the war that will take place in the 1980s.

Another soldier of the Ukrainian army said that the aim of the North Korean soldiers was very good. They target and shoot down drones from a distance of 100 meters. This shows their high training. According to the Washington-based think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian soldiers have achieved great success in Kursk. Neither North Korea nor Russia has officially acknowledged the presence of Kim Jong Un's soldiers in Russia. However, Ukraine has captured two North Korean soldiers.
