Pakistan-Turkey-Azerbaijan Axis: Modi Govt Readies Strategy to Counter ‘Three Brother Alliance’

Islamabad: A new alliance has emerged rapidly in the India-Pakistan conflict. The name of this alliance is 'Three Brother Alliance'. It includes Pakistan and its two friends Turkey and Azerbaijan. These three countries support each other blindly, no matter what the issue is. Both these countries also provided military assistance to Pakistan against India. In such a situation, this so-called Three Brother Alliance has posed a threat to India's security. In such a situation, the Modi government has prepared a plan to counter this trio, which will silence Pakistan, Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

These three countries are working against India

Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan are working together to challenge India. In 2021, Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan held an important summit in the city of Baku. In this conference, there was an agreement to deepen the relations of the three countries and take military cooperation to an unprecedented level. The three countries also decided to support each other on disputed issues. The quasi-alliance of these three countries is known as the "Three Brothers Alliance"

Turkey and Azerbaijan are Pakistan supporters

Turkey and Azerbaijan have diplomatically supported Pakistan after India's Operation Sindoor. Both these countries had expressed their support by issuing a formal statement and calling the political leadership of Pakistan. Not only this, they also supported Pakistan's demand for an international investigation into the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Turkey also supplied military hardware to Pakistan through transport aircraft. Azerbaijan also sang the same tune and supported Pakistan's sovereignty.

Erdogan has formed an alliance for his own benefit

The brain behind the alliance of these three countries is Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan wants to increase Turkey's influence by building relations with countries that have historical and cultural ties with Turkey. He dreams of becoming the new Caliph of the Islamic world. His attempt is to declare himself the new leader of Muslim countries by removing Saudi Arabia from the way, but he has failed many times in this task. Azerbaijan and Turkey have a common Turkish heritage and all three countries are majority Islamic countries. The formation of this alliance has benefited all three countries. For example, Turkey's military support helped Azerbaijan defeat Armenia in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

    Strong Turkey-Pakistan relations

Pakistan has had close defense ties with Turkey since the 1950s. This has helped Pakistan acquire cruise missiles, drones and other important military technology. In 2021, the three countries started the Three Brothers military exercise to improve military coordination. Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan also support each other in their respective regional conflicts. This means that Pakistan depends on the other two countries to support its policy on Kashmir. Turkey has repeatedly raised the Kashmir issue on forums like the United Nations.

    How is India countering

India has been working on different strategies to counter Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan for the last several years. These include helping the enemies of these three countries to hurting them economically. Everyone is familiar with India's steps against Pakistan. Now let's talk about Turkey. To counter Turkey, India has strengthened defense ties with its biggest enemy Greece. Apart from this, India has also started raising the issue of Cyprus on international forums, whose land is illegally occupied by Turkey. At the same time, India has also been strict about Turkey's entry into its market.

    Know India's policy against Azerbaijan

To counter Azerbaijan, India has supplied its biggest enemy Armenia with weapons. There is an old enmity between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. India has not even taken any advance money from Armenia for these weapons.
