Time 100 List 2025 Out: Bangladesh’s Mohammad Yunus Named, No Indian Makes the Cut

Dhaka: America's prestigious Time magazine has released the list of 100 most influential people in the world in the year 2025. Along with personalities like US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh and Mohammad Yunus, who spewed venom against India, has also got a place in this list. Toxic Mohammad Yunus has been given a place in the list of 100 influential people of Time magazine after becoming the chief advisor of Bangladesh after the coup of Sheikh Hasina due to the revolt of students last year.

    Hillary Clinton praises Yunus

In an article published in Time, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has praised Mohammad Yunus. Clinton has praised Mohammad Yunus' role in leading Bangladesh towards democracy after violent student protests. However, Bangladesh's own political parties are now looking at Mohammad Yunus' efforts to restore democracy in the country with suspicion.

Clinton wrote, 'Last year, a student-led uprising toppled Bangladesh's authoritarian prime minister, after which a well-known leader stepped forward to lead the country towards democracy - Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammad Yunus.' The former US Secretary of State remembered and praised Mohammad Yunus' work in establishing Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.

Not a single Indian in Times 100

The Time 100 list honors influential personalities around the world for their influence and leadership. This year's list features several global personalities from politics, entertainment, science and business, each of whom have been honoured for their significant influence and contribution during the past year. However, this year there are no Indian names included in the list.
