Trump Deports 900K Migrants in Single Sweep: 'Leave Immediately' Order Stuns Nation

Washington: The Donald Trump administration has given a big blow to about 9 lakh migrants living in America. These migrants came to America through the CBP One app policy brought in during the time of former President Joe Biden. The Trump administration has overturned Biden's policy and ended the legal permits of these migrants to stay in America. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has said in a statement issued in this regard on Monday that migrants who came through the CBP One app will have to leave the country immediately.

More than 9 lakh migrants came to America under this app policy of the Biden administration since January 2023. They are allowed to live and work in the US temporarily for two years under this program. DHS has said that it has canceled these permits. In such a situation, these migrants should leave America on their own. DHS says that this step has been taken to keep the borders safe and improve the security of the country.

Mails are being sent to migrants

The Associated Press has said in its report that people are being asked to leave America through email. A legal aid group, Al Otro Lado, said that most of the people who have received these notices are from Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. There is restlessness among these people after receiving the notice. These people are surrounded by uncertainty about their future.

The policies on which Donald Trump has paid the most attention since taking power in January this year. The most important of them is to increase tariffs on goods of other countries and expel foreigners from America. The Trump administration has changed many such policies of Biden's time, which talk about asylum to foreigners in America on issues like humanity.

The Trump administration has also decided to end the asylum program in the US for 5,32,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela from April 24. The Trump administration has also ended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 11 lakh people. Most of these people are from Venezuela and Haiti. Apart from this, the Trump administration has also launched a campaign against illegal immigrants.
