Ukraine’s Fate to Be Decided in Saudi: Russia and America’s Biggest Meeting Today—Will Putin and Trump Seal the Deal?

Russia Ukraine War: Officials from Russia and America will meet in Saudi Arabia to end the Ukraine war. According to reports, the Russian Foreign Minister will meet US officials, but Ukraine was not invited to it. Meanwhile, speculations are also being made about a possible meeting of Putin-Trump.

Riyadh: A meeting will be held in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Officials from Russia and America have arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in this meeting, including the foreign ministers of both countries. This meeting is being held when the Ukraine war is about to complete three years. America's role in this is considered important to establish permanent peace. At the same time, a day after this meeting, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will go on an official visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. Zelensky's spokesman Sergei Nikiforov told AFP that this visit was planned for a long time. Zelensky will go to Saudi with his wife. Zelensky announced the trip last week, but did not disclose the dates. He also said that he did not plan to meet officials from Russia or the US.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a post on the official X account, 'Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Riyadh for a meeting with representatives of the US administration.' The Russian delegation will meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff. This conversation is a sign of a change in the policy of isolating Russia. When Russia attacked Ukraine, the US showered sanctions on Russia. This discussion could also potentially pave the way for a meeting between US President Trump and Russia's Putin. There have also been reports that Ukraine has not been invited to the meeting between the US and Russia.

Will there be a meeting between Putin and Trump?

Zelensky visited Ukraine on Monday. Addressing a press conference in Abu Dhabi, Zelensky said that Ukraine has not been informed about the talks between Russia and the US. He said that Ukraine will not recognize any agreement in which it will not participate. Meanwhile, there are reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may meet in Saudi Arabia. It is not yet clear whether this will be a trilateral meeting in which Ukrainian President Zelensky will also participate? State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, while talking to AFP, confirmed the summit on Ukraine between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia.
