US Nuclear Submarine Docks in South Korea, North Korea Furious – Kim Jong Un Issues Stern Warning

Busan. North Korea said that its military forces are ready for any necessary action after a fast-moving nuclear submarine of the US Navy reached a port in the South Korean city of Busan. North Korea has accused the US of posing a serious threat to its national security. KCNA, the official news agency of North Korea, ruled by dictator Kim Un Jog, said in a statement on Tuesday quoting the country's Defense Ministry that the presence of an American nuclear submarine on the Korean Peninsula is a 'clear expression of America's continued mania for confrontation.'

North Korea's statement said that it expresses serious concern over America's dangerous, hostile military work, which can turn the sharp army confrontation in the area around the Korean Peninsula into a real armed conflict. North Korea said that it would exercise its legitimate right to punish provocateurs without hesitation. It accused the US of being a hegemonic country that blindly believes in increasing dominance through power.

US submarine arrived to get supplies.

According to the South Korean Defense Ministry, the USS Alexandria submarine arrived at Busan port on Monday for supplies and to rest its crew. The ministry said that this stop would also provide an opportunity for the South Korean and US navies to exchange information and prepare a joint defense stance.

Nuclear submarine part of America's Pacific Fleet

It is worth noting that USS Alexandria is part of America's Pacific Fleet. It is a fast-attack, nuclear-powered submarine, which is equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles. The South Korean military declined to comment on the North Korean government's statement. At the same time, North Korea claims that US-South Korea joint military activities threaten peace on the Korean Peninsula and sees them as a rehearsal for an invasion of North Korea.
