    Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has admitted that he is in love. During a year-end question-and-answer session, Putin was asked about his personal life. Speaking to presenter Regina Orekhova, the 73-year-old Putin admitted that he is in love. However, he did not reveal the woman's identity. He said that it is true that he is in love, but he remained silent about the name of his girlfriend.


    During Putin's annual year-end press conference, Regina Orekhova asked Putin, "You said today that you believe in love at first sight. Mr. President, are you in love?" To this, the Russian President replied "Yes." This answer has sparked speculation about his girlfriend.


    Who is Putin's girlfriend?

    Putin's admission of being in love has given rise to many speculations. Vladimir Putin did not give any details about his love life, but his name is being linked to several women in the media. There is much speculation about the name of Putin's girlfriend.


    Media reports claim that the Russian President has been in a relationship with 42-year-old former Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva for eighteen years. The couple reportedly has two children, aged ten and six. It is said that these children live under the assumed names of Ivan Spiridonov and Vladimir Spiridonov.


    Married in 1983

    Vladimir Putin married Lyudmila Putina in 1983. This couple has two daughters, Maria and Yekaterina. In 2008, reports surfaced that Putin and Lyudmila were divorcing. Around the same time, claims were made that Putin was engaged to Kabaeva. However, these reports were denied. The divorce between Putin and Lyudmila was officially announced in April 2014.


    Vladimir Putin has been rumored to have had romantic relationships with several women. These include Svetlana Krivonogikh, 50, with whom he is alleged to have a child. Unconfirmed reports have also linked him to former Miss Russia contestant Alisa Kharcheva.
