Last year, rapper Badshah bought a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, becoming the first Indian musician to own one. This placed him in an exclusive club alongside stalwarts like Mukesh Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn. However, buying the luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which has a starting price of approximately ₹12.45 crore in Mumbai, was a hasty decision, a fact he himself acknowledges.
In a recent interview, rapper Badshah revealed that he made the decision impulsively and that the experience of owning one of the world's most expensive SUVs felt great at the time.
Badshah makes a big statement about the expensive car
Speaking to 'Curly Tales', Badshah candidly spoke about the emotions he felt while buying the car. He said, "I think buying the car was a very impulsive decision. I quickly decided that I wanted to buy it that day." He further explained that his happiness faded almost immediately, saying, "It felt like a 'Badshah' moment. It's a good car. The excitement lasted for 10-15 minutes, and then I thought, 'What next?'"
Even a ₹12.45 crore car couldn't bring lasting happiness
For the rapper, buying the Cullinan was more about fulfilling a dream than experiencing long-term happiness. Badshah explained that his mindset has always been focused on owning luxurious things. He said, "I want to own whatever is technically the best." Badshah will save his cars and watches in a crisis
However, despite this thought, his happiness is short-lived. When asked about the option of saving luxury items in a crisis situation, Badshah's answer was straightforward and humorous. He said, "I will save the car. Then I will have to live in the car." However, between Rs 5 crore in cash and limited edition watches, he chose the watches without hesitation.
Formerly a civil engineer, know his net worth
Before gaining fame, Badshah worked as a civil engineer and also recalled his early career. At the young age of 23, he asked a retiring IAS officer a question about public perception. Badshah asked, "When a businessman drives a Mercedes, he is called hardworking. When a government official does the same, he is called a thief?" According to a Jagran report, Badshah is among the top 10 richest Indian rappers with a staggering net worth of Rs 124 crore.
