China Hosts Taliban-Pakistan Meet After Operation Sindoor, India Tops the Agenda

Kabul/Beijing/Islamabad: Pakistan, China and Afghanistan's Taliban Foreign Ministers are meeting in Beijing today. This meeting has taken place at a time when Operation Sindoor exposed Pakistan and China. China gave weapons to Pakistan and promised to protect its sovereignty but even after this India made its intentions clear by attacking strongly. Now Pakistan is also afraid that India can open a second front through Afghanistan. This fear of Pakistan has increased further when Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar recently spoke to Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki for the first time. China has now come forward to remove this fear of Pakistan. Taliban and Pakistani foreign ministers are meeting in China and there is going to be a prominent discussion about India in this. At the same time, one of the reasons for China's fear is also Russia, which has been a close friend of India for decades.

This is the second trilateral meeting between Pakistan, China and Taliban. Pakistan's Foreign Minister has met with the leaders of the Communist Party of China in China. Now he is scheduled to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. It is believed that Wang Yi will insist on reducing tensions between Pakistan and Taliban and will put pressure on Afghanistan. Pakistan alleges that TTP terrorists are getting support from Afghanistan who are attacking the Pakistani army and establishments related to China. China is trying to extend CPEC from Pakistan to Afghanistan, which is a part of BRI.

China also wants to increase security cooperation between the two countries. Earlier, representatives of the three countries also met in Kabul. The Chinese ambassador tried to make friends between Pakistan and the Taliban. Pakistan is afraid that India is constantly increasing its influence on the Taliban. At the same time, China is also afraid of Russia, which is rapidly increasing its reach in Afghanistan. In recent times, Russia has organized several meetings regarding the Taliban. India is also expected to benefit from this. China has its eyes on the trillion dollar treasures like lithium and gold in Afghanistan. China has rapidly increased investment in Afghanistan.

Earlier, Pakistani media had claimed that after Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar's visit to Kabul, the Taliban government has agreed that India's growing influence in Afghanistan will be reduced. However, the claim of Pakistani media turned out to be false. Taliban did not support Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. The Pakistani ambassador had appealed to the Taliban government to support Islamabad's demand for an impartial investigation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, but the Kabul government did not do so. This was a big blow to Pakistan. Actually, the Taliban is also troubled by the air strikes of the Pakistani army. After the Taliban government came to power, it has had to fight with the Pakistani army many times.
