Accused of raping for four years

On March 30 last year, 45-year-old Sanoj Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police from Ghaziabad, after which Nabi Karim police kept him in custody. The director was accused by a 28-year-old woman that Sanoj raped her for four years. The woman, who aspires to become a film actress, claimed that she was in a live-in relationship with Mishra in Mumbai. According to the woman, during the exploitation, the director also forced her to have an abortion thrice.

Director refused to marry

The victim said in her statement to the police that first Sanoj Mishra had physical relations with her by promising marriage. After this, he lured her with work in films and threatened her to keep quiet. Later he also refused to marry her. According to Delhi Police, an FIR was registered against the director on 6 March 2024 under several sections including rape, assault, abortion and threat.
