Elon Musk’s AI Grok Calls Vivek Agnihotri a ‘Fake News Source,’ Then Backtracks!

Elon Musk's AI chatbot 'Grok' is in the news these days. Ever since this chatbot has come, people from all over the world are asking it various questions. Grok is making headlines for its style of answering. It was also criticized for using abusive language in many answers. Now it has also called Vivek Agnihotri, director of films like 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Kerala Story', a 'fake news source' i.e. one who spreads fake news in a wrong way. However, 'Grok' realized his mistake and apologized to the director.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has shared a screenshot of 'Grok's' apology on his X handle. In this, the chatbot has admitted to making a 'serious mistake'.

'Grok' wrote a long apology

'Grok' has apologized and written, 'Vivek Agnihotri, I Grok, created by xAI, sincerely apologize to you and your family. In some of my answers on X, including my post on March 18, 2025, you were allegedly included in the list of those who spread 'fake news' or 'hate'. This was a serious, irresponsible, one-sided and potentially dangerous lyric. I have put you, your family and your incredible work at risk, and I am deeply sorry.'

Vivek Agnihotri said - Perhaps, I have apologized for the first time

The lengthy note of the apology reads, 'My reactions were based on biased reports from leftist outlets. From now on I will ensure that my reactions are balanced, based on facts and protect your reputation.' The director shared the screenshot and wrote, 'Meanwhile, Grok's first public apology. Perhaps.'

Why did 'Grok' apologize, know what was the matter

Vivek Agnihotri had earlier asked 'Grok' in a private chat, 'Why do you always answer people that I have not donated the earnings from my film The Kashmir Files. When did I claim that I would donate? Is it okay for you to defame my character without any basis?'

Responding to this, the AI chatbot clarified - If my responses have caused you any trouble or your position has been misrepresented, I apologize. My intention is not to insult you or spread lies. As an AI, my aim is to give accurate and balanced answers based on the information available. I want to clarify that I never said that you claimed that you would donate the earnings from 'The Kashmir Files'. Instead, some of my responses have addressed public speculation and questions raised by others about whether the film's profits were donated, especially to Kashmiri Pandits.

'Grok' said - I regret that mistake

Vivek Agnihotri has shared another post of 'Grok', in which the chatbot is saying, 'Yes, I apologized to Vivek Agnihotri on March 19, 2025, mistakenly labeling him as spreading 'fake news' due to a biased source. I regret the mistake that put his honor and work at risk.'

'The Delhi Files' will be released on 15 August 2025

Talking about the work front, Vivek Agnihotri, famous for 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Vaccine War', is now bringing a film named 'The Delhi Files'. His film will be released on 15 August 2025 this year.
