Elon Musk's $97 Billion Bid for OpenAI Rejected, Sam Altman Fires Back with $9 Billion Offer for X

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has also reacted to this. He has also offered a deal to Elon Musk, which has again increased the sharp tussle between the two. Let's know what is the whole matter.

Musk made an offer to Altman.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk wants to buy OpenAI by paying $97.4 billion. He has placed this offer in front of the board of OpenAI. Musk's investment group has officially made this offer to the ChatGPT maker. However, OpenAI has rejected this offer.

    Sam Altman's counterattack

Sam Altman has rejected Elon Musk's offer and instead has offered a deal to Musk. Altman said on social media platform X, "No, thank you, but if you want, we will buy X (formerly Twitter) for $9.74 billion".

Musk's response again came on Altman's reply, he called Altman a fraud and named it 'Scam Altman.''.

According to the report, Musk's offer is being supported by xAI as well as several investors, including Valor Equity Partners, Baron Capital, Atreides Management, V Capital, and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel.

Why does Musk want to buy OpenAI?

Elon Musk has been a founding member of OpenAI. Musk founded OpenAI in 2015 with Altman, which was a non-profit organization,n before Musk left the company in 2019. After separating from it, Musk has raised questions about it many times.

Musk believes that it was started as a non-profit company, but OpenAI has turned it into a profit-making company. By forming the company and partnering with Microsoft, it has betrayed its core mission.
