Ankara/Islamabad: Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a close friend of Pakistan, has once again reiterated his support for Islamabad. Welcoming the ceasefire with India, Khalifa Erdogan has said that Turkey will support Pakistan in good and bad times. In a statement, Erdogan said, I am happy that the tension between Pakistan and India ended with the ceasefire. Along with this, he has expressed hope for a solution to the water dispute between India and Pakistan. India had suspended the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack. Under this treaty, Pakistan gets water from three rivers from India.
Erdogan wrote in a message on the social media platform X, 'I hope that the atmosphere of peace provided by the ceasefire will help resolve all other problems, especially the water issue. InshaAllah, as Turkey, we will stand with the brotherly people of Pakistan in good and bad times.'
