Fraud complaint filed against Palash Muchhal over alleged ₹40 lakh deal

Musician and singer Palash Muchhal, who recently made headlines after his marriage to cricketer Smriti Mandhana was called off, is now in the news again. Palash has been accused of fraud. According to the news agency PTI, a 34-year-old actor and producer from Sangli district in Maharashtra has filed a police complaint alleging that Palash defrauded him of ₹40 lakh. According to the police, on Thursday, Vidyan Mane submitted an application to the Sangli Superintendent of Police to register an FIR against Palash. According to the complaint, Palash met Vidyan on December 5, 2023, in Sangli.

The complainant claimed that when he asked Palash about investing in filmmaking, Palash told him that he could invest in his upcoming film 'Nazariya'.

    Palash Muchhal Accused of Fraud

After the film's release on an OTT platform, Palash allegedly told him that Vidyan could earn a profit of ₹12 lakh on an investment of ₹25 lakh, and also offered him a role in the film. The complaint alleges that the two then met twice, and Vidyan allegedly paid Palash a total of ₹40 lakh by March 2025.

    Palash Has Not Responded

However, the film was not completed, so Vidyan demanded his money back, but allegedly received no response. He then contacted the Sangli police. An officer stated that the police are conducting a preliminary investigation. Palash has not yet commented on these allegations. Palash and Smriti's wedding called off

This development comes exactly one month after Palash and Smriti's wedding was canceled. Palash's wedding was scheduled for November 23, but it was postponed after Smriti's father, Srinivas, was suddenly hospitalized. Later, Palash issued a statement saying that he had decided to move on in life and also expressed his distress over online trolling.

    Palash Muchhal's Work Front

Palash has composed music for several songs, including 'Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui', 'Nachle Tu', 'Naach Basanti', 'Sasure Ke Kaudi Lag Gaye', 'Teri Ek Hansi', 'Musafir', 'Kinara', and 'Khuda Ke Bande'. He has also directed films like 'Ardha' and 'Kaam Chalu Hai'.
