Gaza's Health Ministry said that apart from 50 thousand deaths in the war, more than 1,13,000 people have been injured so far. This information shared by the ministry on Sunday also includes 673 dead, who were killed in sudden air strikes by Israel after the ceasefire ended last week.
15 thousand children among the dead
Ministry Director General Dr. Munir al-Borsh said that the dead included 15,613 children, of which 872 were less than one year old. Officials said that at least 26 Palestinians, including a senior Hamas leader, were killed in Israeli attacks overnight on Sunday in the southern Gaza Strip. Many children and women are also among those who lost their lives in these attacks.
Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen fired another missile at Israel, causing air raid sirens to ring. The Israeli army said the missile was shot down mid-air and there were no reports of casualties.
Hamas said its political bureau and Palestinian parliament member Salah Bardawil and his wife were killed in the attack near Khan Younis. Bardawil was a well-known member of Hamas' political wing. The Israeli army has confirmed this.
