Imran Khan’s Party vs. Pakistan Govt: Political Fallout of Balochistan Attack

Islamabad: There has been a ruckus in Pakistan's politics after the train hijack in Balochistan. The ruling party has accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan of speaking in India's language. Meanwhile, amid criticism, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is now going to visit Quetta today. Where he will try to share the pain of the victims of the terrorist attack. According to the report, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will review the law and order situation during his visit. This visit of the Prime Minister is taking place when Pakistani security forces have claimed to have freed the Jaffar Express. The security forces have claimed to have killed 33 extremists of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during this operation. However, the amount of loss suffered by the Pakistani army has not been reported.

There were more than 400 passengers on the Jaffar Express who were taken hostage. Immediately after the hijacking, the BLA freed women, children, elderly and Baloch people from the train. However, against the claim of the Pakistani Army, the Baloch rebels have claimed that 154 soldiers of the Pakistani Army are still in their custody. Due to which there is a situation of confusion as to who is telling the truth and who is lying.

What did the Pakistani Army say about the operation?

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistani Army, has said that "the armed forces took part in the action against the terrorists who were in contact with their helpers and masterminds based in Afghanistan through satellite phones." The army spokesman said that units of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Special Service Group (SSG), Army and Frontier Corps (FC) had participated in the operation. The spokesman said that all the hostages have been freed, but 21 passengers were killed during the operation. The army has said that four FC personnel were also killed during the attack in Mushkaf area of Bolan district. Lieutenant General Chaudhary said, "Whoever has done this will be found and brought to justice." He said that suicide bombers were present near the hostages and were using them as human shields, who were killed by snipers.

Imran Khan vs Shahbaz Sharif on train hijack

Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is continuously aggressive on Shahbaz Sharif's government regarding Balochistan train hijack. Leaders of Imran Khan's party are cornering the Shahbaz government from social media to Parliament. Pakistani MP Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar targeted the Pakistani army from the Parliament and said that this is definitely an attack on the country, but the people of Balochistan have not been taken care of. The people of Balochistan have been discriminated against. He said that 'if the department works within its limits, this will not happen.' Apart from this, he has also questioned the claims of the Pakistani army about the end of the operation and has sought an answer from the government. He has said that 'the country does not have any information. Because we are getting to know that some people have been released and some people are with them. So the government should hold a press conference and clarify the situation.'

Like PTI, Imran Khan's old speech is being posted on social media platforms regarding the plight of Balochistan, in which he is talking about the plight of Balochistan. This has troubled the government of Shahbaz Sharif. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of speaking the language of Indian media. He said that PTI people are using language similar to Indian and Afghan social media. Asif said, "We need to rise above political interests and demonstrate national unity on such occasions."
