India Accusing Without Proof: Pakistan FM Slams Indus Treaty Suspension, Calls It Irresponsible

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India has decided to stop the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. The process of closing the Pakistani Embassy in India has started. Apart from this, Attari border checkpost is also being closed. These steps taken by India have been criticized by Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Dar says that India's response is 'non-serious and inappropriate'. He said that along with accusing Pakistan, India should also provide proof.

Speaking to a private Pakistani news channel, Dar said that India has linked the terrorist incidents on its soil to Pakistan but has failed to provide any evidence of it. He said that it is India's old habit to blame Pakistan for its internal problems. This time too it has done the same. India's announcements show a lack of seriousness.

    High-level meeting in Pakistan

Dar said that a National Security Committee (NSC) meeting has been called on Thursday. Pakistan's official response will be decided in this meeting. He said that India's statements are inappropriate and the NSC will issue a comprehensive response. Dar described India's recent diplomatic steps as hasty and emotionally driven.

Ishaq Dar said that India's decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty is completely irresponsible. This is not a treaty that India can declare to end on its own. The Indus Water Treaty was signed between India and Pakistan in 1960. Under this treaty, the water of the Indus and its tributaries has been divided.

Dar said that India is violating this treaty by talking about stopping Pakistan's water. There have also been indications from Pakistan's side that it will raise the issue of Indus Water Treaty on the international platform. Dar has said that Pakistan will give a strong and coordinated reply to India. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has shown his attitude and said that India should not consider us weak. Our army is fully prepared to respond to any aggression of India.
