Indian Agencies: Gangster Happy Pasia, Accused in 14 Terror Attacks, Arrested in the U.S.

Washington: Gangster Happy Pasia, accused of plotting 14 terrorist attacks in Punjab, has been arrested in America. Happy has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The arrest of Happy Pasia is an important success for India's security agencies. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking for Happy Pasia in many cases. NIA has also announced a reward of five lakh rupees on him.


According to India Today's report, Happy Pasia is claimed to be associated with Babbar Khalsa International organization. In January this year, Happy had claimed responsibility for the blast in the vehicle of a senior police officer near Gumtala police post in Amritsar. After claiming responsibility for the attack, Pasia had threatened to carry out more blasts in the future.


Has links with ISI


Happy Pasia is accused of having connections with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. He has carried out several grenade attacks in Punjab in association with ISI and Babbar Khalsa International. Happy Pasia has targeted police establishments in Punjab several times. On social media too, Pasia had talked about attacking Punjab Police.


Happy Pasia is accused of carrying out 14 incidents of terrorist attacks in Punjab within a few months. Pasia was first accused in the blast outside Ajnala police station in Amritsar on 23 November last year. Since then, Pasia's name has come up in 14 attacks till March this year. NIA made Pasia an accused and announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on him. However, he had already left India and gone to Germany and then America.
