Iran-Armenia Foil Trump’s Zangezur Plan, US Suffers Defeat Without War

Tehran: Iran and Armenia have played a big game in the Middle East. These two countries have made such an agreement, which has failed America's strategy. Actually, Iran and Armenia have agreed on new transportation projects including the Norduz Bridge and the Persian Gulf-Black Sea Link. This will give Iran a way to enter the Caucasus countries without the Zangezur corridor. Recently, America has gained control over the Zangezur corridor under the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement. This had created concern for Iran.

Iran signs new deal with Armenia

Iran's Roads and Urban Development Minister, Farzaneh Sadegh, has announced new agreements with Armenia aimed at strengthening transport and transit cooperation. The agreement includes the construction of a second bridge in Norduz and advancing plans to link the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea via a rail network. On Tuesday, Sadegh said the two sides agreed to expand the existing Norduz crossing and build an additional bridge to ease freight traffic between the two countries.

Iran will give package for trade with Armenia

He informed that Iran and Armenia also plan to restructure border terminals within the next two months and finalise a comprehensive transit package to reduce costs for Iranian truck drivers. The minister also informed about ongoing efforts to establish a strategic railway corridor linking the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.

Iran is increasing friendship with Armenia

He said, "The railway line currently extends to Jolfa and it has been agreed in principle to continue it to Yerevan via Nakhchivan. Sadegh informed about mutual cooperation in freight, air transport and technical-engineering services. He also informed that Iranian contractors are working strongly in infrastructure projects in Armenia.
