Mexican Navy Ship Hits Brooklyn Bridge in New York, 19 Injured — Video Goes Viral

New York: A Mexican Navy ship has collided with the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. On Saturday, when the Navy training ship was passing through the East River, its upper mast collided with the bridge. Video of the incident has also surfaced. The footage shows that when the ship was passing under the famous Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday evening, its huge masts collided with the bridge. After the collision, some parts of the masts broke and got stuck on the deck of the ship. Several people are reported to be injured in local media reports. The ship was on a goodwill visit to New York City.

    19 people injured in accident

The New York Fire Department has confirmed that they are responding to reports of injuries in the collision of the Navy ship with the Brooklyn Bridge. According to CNN, New York City Mayor Eric Adams told reporters from the scene that a total of 19 people were injured, including four people who were 'seriously' injured. Some media reports say that more than 200 people are present on the ship. According to a spokesperson for the New York Police Department, the Mexican ship hit the New York bridge at 8:26 pm and many people are being 'aided'.

The Mexican Navy has confirmed that the ship was damaged and said that the incident is being investigated. The Navy said that its journey has been stopped after being damaged in the accident. In a video, the mast of the ship, which had a Mexican flag on it, rubbed under the bridge. After this, the ship started coming towards the shore uncontrollably. In the video, people standing on the shore can be seen running away.
