Netanyahu Warns Hamas: 'Gates of Hell Will Open' If Hostages Are Not Released

Benjamin Netanyahu News: Benjamin Netanyahu clearly told Hamas to stick to its promise of releasing the hostages, otherwise, it will have to pay a heavy price for it. Hamas is releasing all Israeli hostages one by one.

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Sunday that if Hamas does not release all the hostages, they will "open the gates of hell" in Gaza. He made this statement after meeting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem. He also thanked US President Donald Trump, who helped release three more hostages on Saturday. Netanyahu said that his country is working in 'full cooperation and coordination' with the Trump administration.

Netanyahu said, "We have a common strategy and we cannot always share the details of this strategy with the public. We cannot tell when the gates of hell will be opened, but if all our hostages are not released, they will definitely be opened." He also promised that he would wipe out Hamas' military strength and its "potential rule" in Gaza.

Significantly, Israel and Hamas completed the sixth exchange of hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners on Saturday. Only two weeks are left in the initial phase of the Gaza ceasefire, which is stuck in a delicate phase. Israel expressed relief because three hostages - Argentine-Israeli Ayar Horn (46), American-Israeli Sagui Dekel Chen (36), and Russian-Israeli Alexander Trofanov (29) appeared to be in better condition than the hostages who were released a week ago. The hostages released a week ago looked weak.

Before being reunited with his family, Trofanov was told that his father had died in a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Chen was set to meet his youngest daughter for the first time. Horn's brother, Eitan, remains a hostage. Hamas militants in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday paraded three Israeli male hostages before a crowd before releasing them. They were later handed over to the Red Cross in Khan Younis. 369 Palestinian prisoners were later released.
