OIC backs Pakistan, rejects India’s Pahalgam claims as baseless, sparks anger

New York: The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC), which has failed to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, has now dared to warn India. The OIC has termed the allegations made by India against Pakistan as "baseless" and said that this is increasing tension in South Asia. Apart from this, the OIC has crossed its limits and said that "Kashmir is being deprived of the right to self-determination, which is guaranteed in the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council." This tone of the OIC is threatening, but how much power it has, and how much impact its words have, can be gauged from the fact that neither has it been able to stop the war in the Gaza Strip nor has it been able to stop Israel from launching a devastating attack in Gaza.

According to a report by TRT World, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in New York has expressed "deep concern over the deteriorating security environment in South Asia", in which India The OIC's "baseless allegations against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan" have been described as a major factor increasing tensions in the region. Let us tell you that there are 57 countries in the OIC, of which 48 are Muslim majority countries. The 57-member organization OIC said that "such allegations threaten to worsen an already volatile situation, and reiterated its "principled position and condemnation against all forms and manifestations of terrorism, regardless of who commits it and wherever it is." OIC again crossed the line on Kashmir TRT World's report says that apart from this, OIC again had the audacity to cross its limits regarding Kashmir and said that "the unresolved dispute remains the main issue affecting peace and security in South Asia.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir are being denied their inalienable right to self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions." Apart from this, the OIC has said in its statement that "The OIC appreciates the offer of assistance made by the UN Secretary-General (Antonio Guterres) and calls on the international community, including the UN Security Council and influential states, to take immediate and credible measures to mitigate the situation." Let us tell you that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last month, tensions are at their peak between India and Pakistan. India has taken action and suspended the Indus Water Treaty and there is a fear that India may attack Pakistan. India believes that Pakistan is behind the terrorist attack. While Pakistan has always denied the allegations. Apart from this, both the countries have taken diplomatic steps against each other, including canceling visas of each other's citizens and recalling diplomatic staff. OIC's double standard However, OIC's support to Pakistan does not make any difference. But this once again exposes the double standards of the OIC. The OIC has said in its statement that "the baseless allegations being leveled by India against Pakistan are increasing tensions in South Asia.

We reiterate our demand for giving Kashmiris their right to self-determination, as guaranteed in UN resolutions." But this is the same OIC that remains silent on the atrocities against Uighur Muslims in China. This is the same OIC that remains silent on the brutal Islamic rule of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the policy of keeping women hostage at home. This is the same OIC that never says anything about the condition of Shia, Ahmadiya and Hindu minorities in Pakistan. But when it comes to India, this same OIC suddenly becomes a champion of human rights.

India has now stopped talking to the OIC. India has already told the OIC in clear words that "Kashmir is an internal matter of India" and such organizations should not become a part of Pakistan's propaganda tool. Experts believe that OIC is a biased platform that stands with the country that supports terrorism. India has completely rejected such statements. Many OIC member countries support Pakistan in the name of Islam. Whereas Pakistan has made OIC a platform to spread its propaganda. Therefore, this support of OIC does not matter.
