Islamabad: The whole world knows how Pakistan nurtures terrorists. From Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden to the top leaders of the Taliban or the dreaded terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-Taiba who shed the blood of innocents in India, Pakistan has been a safe haven for all of them. Now Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif himself has accepted that his country has been maintaining relations with terrorists. In an interview given to a news channel, he revealed the entire truth about Pakistan's nexus with terrorists.
On the allegations of India providing shelter to terrorism, Khawaja Asif accepted that he had relations with terrorists in the past but said that now Pakistan has broken all these relations. However, this has been Pakistan's old habit. It denies the recent incident and confesses it later. Like Pakistan's former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf had accepted the role of Pakistani army in Kargil a year before his death.
Drama of investigation in front of the world
Khwaja Asif said in an interview that 'We do not want to investigate ourselves. The world should come and investigate us. The places which have been targeted should be seen whether there are hideouts of terrorists there or not. The terrorists whose names they (India) take, are they here only, or sitting somewhere else.'
After this Asif said that we have broken relations with those people (terrorists) for many years. During this, Asif admitted that 'they (terrorists) might have relatives living there, but they are as bad for us as they are for the rest of the world.'
India's Operation Sindoor
India had targeted the hideouts of terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) on the morning of 7 May under Operation Sindoor. Under the operation, 14 terrorist launchpads were destroyed at 9 places. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. This also included 10 members of Jaish chief Masood Azhar's family.
