Pakistan Army Vows 'Full Force' Retaliation After Baloch Rebels Inflict Heavy Casualties

Islamabad: Violent attacks by separatists and extremists in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have shaken the Pakistani Army. Meanwhile, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir has tried to boost the morale of the frightened Pakistani Army. During the meeting of top army officials on Friday, the Pakistan Army Chief talked about using full force against the extremists. Munir's statement while chairing the 268th Corps Commander Conference at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi is actually an admission of the poor condition of the Pakistani Army in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

What did Munir say on Balochistan?

During this, General Munir said that no one will be allowed to disturb the peace in Balochistan and the nefarious designs of foreign-sponsored proxies, including social disruptive elements and their so-called political supporters, will be thwarted. General Munir, the head of the Pakistani Army, the biggest supplier of terrorism, said that 'there is no place for terrorists and their helpers in Pakistan.'

In recent months, there has been an increase in extremist attacks targeting the Pakistani Army and security forces in Pakistan. Armed armed groups are carrying out major attacks, especially in the border provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to data from the think tank Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Securities Studies (PICSS), January 2025 saw a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan, up 42 per cent from the previous month. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the worst affected. It was followed by Balochistan.

    Old melody on Kashmir

The Pakistani Army Chief blamed the nexus between domestic and foreign forces for the increasing violence in the country. During this, General Munir did not miss the opportunity to sing Pakistan's old Kashmir melody and spew venom. Pakistan's support for the Kashmir issue was reiterated in the meeting. Along with this, an attempt was made to blame the Indian Army for the recent firing on the Line of Control (LOC). However, during this time there was no talk about the Pakistani soldiers killed while infiltrating.
