"Pakistan Must Vacate PoK": India's Stern Warning Amid Suspension of Indus Treaty

New Delhi: The Foreign Ministry held a press conference on Tuesday regarding the India-Pakistan ceasefire and answered many questions in a series. India's policy regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir also came to the fore in this press conference. India has clearly stated that Pakistan will have to vacate POK at all costs.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said in a strict tone during the press conference that Pakistan will have to vacate POK because Pakistan has illegally occupied it. This has always been India's policy and there has been no change in it till now.

Indus Water Treaty between India and PAK will remain cancelled

Speaking on the Indus Water Treaty, Randhir Jaiswal said that the Indus Water Treaty has been suspended after the decision of the CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security). The Indus Water Treaty was concluded in a spirit of goodwill and friendship, as specified in the preamble of the treaty.

Pakistan will have to give up terrorism

Randhir Jaiswal further said that Pakistan has suspended these principles by promoting cross-border terrorism for several decades. Now according to the decision of the CCS, India will suspend the treaty until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abandons its support for cross-border terrorism.

Pakistan is fooling itself

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs also responded to the statement of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry. He said that we have seen the statement of the Pakistani side, the country which has promoted terrorism on an industrial level, to think that it can avoid its consequences is to fool itself. The sooner Pakistan understands this, the better it will be.
