Pakistani analyst accuses UAE of harbouring BLA and TTP militants

Islamabad: Senior Pakistani journalist and expert Absar Alam has strongly criticized the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Absar claims that the UAE is a major reason for the challenges Pakistan faces regarding terrorism. Absar said that groups like the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) and BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army) are receiving support from the UAE. These two groups have created significant problems for the Pakistani army and government in recent years. Both groups have continuously launched fierce attacks on the Pakistani army.

Speaking about Pakistan's 'Muslim brother' the UAE, Absar said, "Members of the TTP and BLA have acquired vast properties in the UAE and Qatar. Most of the top leaders of the groups responsible for terrorism in Pakistan are either living comfortably in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE or in Qatar. These group leaders have built large houses and own expensive cars there."

    It's a money game

Alam further added, "The UAE and Qatar have also promoted violent groups in Yemen and Sudan. A major reason for this is money. The UAE is extracting gold from these countries. At the same time, it is jeopardizing important projects like CPEC and Gwadar in Pakistan. Moreover, Israel has used the UAE to create a rift in the Arab and Muslim world."

Absar Alam also said that the people of Pakistan played a crucial role in building the UAE. The UAE is also a major destination for Pakistani black money. Pakistanis often spend their illicit funds in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Dubai is considered the ideal haven for all kinds of fraudsters and smugglers.

Pakistan has historically maintained good relations with the UAE. Pakistan has also received financial assistance from the UAE. Pakistan also enjoys good relations with Saudi Arabia. However, tensions have recently emerged between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It appears that Pakistani experts want to distance themselves from the UAE and openly align with Saudi Arabia.
