Protests against rising inflation continue in Iran for the fourth day


Protests against rising inflation continued in Iran for the fourth consecutive day. ​​These demonstrations are now taking place in several Iranian cities.


According to BBC Persian, images of nighttime protests have emerged from various cities in Iran. In Kuhdasht, security forces resorted to violence to disperse the protesters.

Authorities in Lorestan province say one person was killed and 13 others were injured in Kuhdasht.

Meanwhile, images also surfaced of a female student being arrested in front of a girls' dormitory at Beheshti University in Tehran.


According to BBC Persian, as evening fell on Wednesday, reports of scattered protests emerged from several Iranian cities. Gatherings were also held in the cities of Hamadan, Kuhdasht, Genaveh, Dorud, and Aligudarz.
