Putin says Russian Army will determine outcome of Ukraine conflict

Moscow: Russia has accused Ukraine of showing no interest in ending the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that "we can see that Kyiv is not in a hurry to end the Ukrainian conflict through peaceful means." Putin said that if Ukraine does not want to resolve things peacefully, then Russia will continue its military operations. The Russian president also announced the capture of several areas of Ukraine. This has raised fears of a further escalation of the fighting.

Vladimir Putin said that Russia will forcefully achieve all the goals it set four years ago through its "special military operation." He said that Russia will proceed with what it stated at the time of the attack on Ukraine in February 2022. Putin issued this warning while accusing Ukraine of avoiding peace talks. Putin's statement is seen as a setback for ceasefire efforts in Ukraine.

    Trump-Zelenskyy Meeting

Vladimir Putin's remarks came ahead of a crucial meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump in Florida on Sunday. It is hoped that in this meeting, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will accept a 20-point proposal to end the war.

Before the meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy said that security guarantees are very important for us. We are certainly expecting reassurance from the US on this issue. Zelenskyy also said that this war was started by Russia, not Ukraine. Ukraine is ready to do whatever is necessary to stop the war. Capture of Ukrainian cities

Putin inspected the command post of the Russian armed forces and received reports from Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and the commanders of the Central and Eastern groups of Russian forces. Russian commanders informed Putin that their forces had captured the cities of Myrnohrad, Rodynske, and Artemivka in Ukraine's Donetsk region, as well as Huliaipole and Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region. On the other hand, the Ukrainian military said in its regular battlefield update on Saturday that it had thwarted Russian attempts to advance near Myrnohrad and Huliaipole.
