Russia Bombs Indian Drug Company's Warehouse in Ukraine; Kyiv Questions ‘Special Friendship’

Moscow: There has been a missile attack on the warehouse of Indian drug company Kusum in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Embassy in India has claimed that this attack has been carried out by Russia. The embassy, in a post on X, criticized the Russian government led by Vladimir Putin and called it a "deliberate" attack. It wrote that this attack has been carried out while Russia claims "special friendship" with India. This is likely to further flare up the Russia-Ukraine war.

What did the Ukrainian Embassy say

The Ukrainian Embassy said, "Today, the warehouse of Indian drug company Kusum in Ukraine was attacked by a Russian missile." He further wrote, "Claiming a "special friendship" with India, Moscow is deliberately targeting Indian businesses - destroying medicines made for children and the elderly."

    Russia against war in Ukraine

The attack comes at a time when the Indian government has made its anti-war stance clear in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi clearly stating that the country is in favour of peace. Prime Minister Modi had said, "I have close relations with both Russia and Ukraine. I can sit with President Putin and say that this is not the time for war, and I can also tell President Zelensky in a friendly way that brother, no matter how many people in the world stand with you, there will never be a solution on the battlefield."

Russia-Ukraine accusing each other of attack

Meanwhile, top diplomats of Russia and Ukraine on Saturday accused each other of attacking energy plants. A few days ago, under the mediation of America, Russia and Ukraine had reached an agreement that both countries will not target each other's energy structures. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. America is trying to ensure a ceasefire between these two countries as soon as possible.
