Moscow: Vadim Badekha, CEO of the Russian aviation and defense company United Aircraft Corporation, has called India an important partner for Russia. He said that more than 300 Russian-made fighter jets are flying in India. Vadim also expressed hope for several major defense agreements with India in the future. Vadim Badekha's statement comes at a time when Russia is offering India its Su-57 fighter jet. It is also ready to share the technology and source code of this aircraft.
More than 300 Russian aircraft in India
Vadim Badekha, CEO of United Aircraft Corporation, told Rossiya 24 that Russia and India are jointly developing a joint aircraft manufacturing project. He said, "India is an old and very important partner for us and our aircraft manufacturing industry. More than 300 Russian-made aircraft fly in India. Many of them were manufactured in Indian factories built by us. This applies to several aircraft, such as the Su-30, which is manufactured in India—and also its engines." India witnesses the power of Sukhoi
He further added, "Of course, these capabilities, these companies, these specialists, and the connections between our companies, create a strong foundation for the production of civil aviation equipment in these locations. India is witnessing the high efficiency of the Sukhoi Superjet today. We see that its reliability and efficiency are in no way inferior to foreign counterparts.
India is a good market
The UAC CEO said, "The best indicator is that today the Sukhoi Superjet is at the forefront in Russia, and of course, the most important thing in this project is that the Sukhoi Superjet, like our other civilian aircraft, is entirely manufactured in our country. We are the only country in the world where all components are fully developed and manufactured domestically. This creates the conditions for the program's success. I don't know how to improve the direction of the project. I am going to India. It's a good market."
