Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has banned children from accompanying Hajj pilgrims. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has announced several new rules regarding Hajj pilgrimage. In which it has been said that children will not be allowed to accompany pilgrims during Hajj pilgrimage 2025. Saudi Arabia has said that the purpose of this decision is to keep children safe and protect them from excessive crowds during the annual journey. Apart from this, Saudi Arabia has given some priorities to people traveling for the first time. People traveling for the first time have been given some preferences as compared to Hajj pilgrims who have traveled before. This decision of the Saudi government is to reduce excessive crowds during Hajj.

The Saudi government has said that the purpose of the new rules is to make the Hajj pilgrimage easier for new pilgrims, reduce the crowd at the holy site, and ease the management of the surging crowd of people. Apart from this, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has to increase the safety of pilgrims and ease operational measures during the Hajj pilgrimage. - Upgrading camps and paths to improve the comfort of pilgrims and facilitate their religious programs.
