Sunaina Roshan’s Emotional Struggles: Illness, Pregnancy & Father’s Cancer Battle

Actor-turned-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan's daughter Sunaina Roshan has faced health problems in her life. She has faced many things like cancer, fatty liver and alcohol addiction. Her father also had throat cancer in 2018. In an interview, Hrithik Roshan's sister told how her father has always been protective of her. She also recalled the time when she came to know about Rakesh Roshan's cancer and she was recovering from alcohol addiction at the same time.

Sunaina Roshan told 'News 18', 'Men also have feelings. There is nothing wrong in this. They should also cry. There is no need to say that we did not cry. I have seen my father cry a few times. When I was ill. And when he came to know that I am expecting my first child. I am pregnant, I have seen him cry with joy.'

Sunaina Roshan's reaction on Rakesh Roshan's cancer

Sunaina Roshan told about her father Rakesh Roshan's reaction on her illness. She said, 'He was shattered. Every time I and my family used to think that this is the last illness, but after 2-3 years a new illness used to come. Even today, if I have a headache, I cannot tell my father. I have to hide this thing from him. Because he gets very upset. He goes mad. He calls 2-3 doctors and asks why is the daughter having a headache. I have suffered a lot, so people think that I am a pampered child. But it is not so.'

Sunaina Roshan had returned from the rehab centre

Sunaina Roshan was upset after learning about her father Rakesh Roshan's cancer. While she was returning from rehab, she was told to stay tension free. She said, 'I had recently come out of an alcohol rehab. We were told not to take any tension for 2-3 months. But when I made a video call to Papa and he told me, I was shattered. My world was destroyed. I did not understand how to face it. Although I did, it was an experience that I had not expected. For a man who is so cheerful, going through cancer was more difficult for me than fighting all my diseases. It was very difficult for me to see such a friendly person just lying on the bed.'
